Before joining Quench, Laura was a research scientist in immunology at Janus Biotherapeutics where she developed novel therapeutic candidates to treat autoimmune disorders and human mycoses. Prior to Janus, Laura worked as a science consultant at Zata Pharmaceuticals where she developed and executed cell-based assays examining cytotoxicity and the cellular localization of nucleic acid-based therapeutic candidates. Previously, Laura was a scientific advisor at BioBM Consulting where she used her scientific knowledge in the creation of technical marketing materials. Laura received a BS in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and a PhD in cell and developmental biology from Vanderbilt University, School of Medicine. Outside of work, Laura enjoys running, cycling, hiking mountains, wandering art galleries and cooking.
