Hiroto Kambara, PhD

Principal Scientist

Hiroto is a Principal Scientist of Quench Bio. Prior to joining Quench, Hiroto was a junior faculty member at Children’s Hospital in Boston, where he led multiple research projects on infectious and inflammatory diseases. Hiroto’s recent research focused on Quench Bio’s target, Gasdermin D. He is an author of multiple papers on Gasdermin D. He was awarded a post-doctoral scholarship from Japan and worked at Case Western Reserve University, aiming to elucidate the molecular mechanism of anti-HCV activity mediated by interferon. After completion of his PhD at Osaka University in Japan, Hiroto worked as a research assistant professor at Osaka University. When not at the bench, Hiroto enjoys running, karate and spending time with family and friends.
